What is an eBay Certified Education Specialist?

An Education Specialist has been trained by eBay to teach the official eBay curriculum.

A ‘Certified’ Education Specialist is one of a small group of instructors who have reached the most advanced level of the Education Specialist program. They have completed additional training and passed a challenging exam to achieve the eBay Certified Business Consultant designation.

Marlene Gavens (The Savvy Seller) became an eBay Certified Business Consultant in 2007. She is one  of only 28 people in the world to have met the comprehensive qualifications to join this elite group of trainers.   

Marlene has been recognized as an accomplished instructor and has been extensively trained by eBay to consult with businesses on how to effectively utilize the eBay platform in their business model.

The American Research Institute administers the Education Specialist program through its PowerU website in conjunction with eBay.
